For the long term streng­t­hening and expansion of our “Nuclear Fuel Rail Logistics Business Unit (BES-RW)” we are seeking a Transport Manager for secure Ship­ments (m/w/o)

Your tasks and respon­si­bi­lities

  • Pro­ducing trans­por­tation plans, quotes and inquiries
  • Pro­ducing and tracking orders
  • Moni­toring project costs and dead­lines
  • Assisting the Radiation Pro­tection / Dan­gerous Goods Department in making app­li­ca­tions to German and foreign aut­ho­rities
  • Managing nuclear ship­ments in Germany, Europe and worldwide
  • Contact with aut­ho­rities, contact with customers, sup­plier management
  • Assisting the tech­nical service team with the planning, pre­pa­ration, management and docu­men­tation of ship­ments
  • Col­la­bo­ration with the relevant depart­ments of the DAHER concern in France and the USA
  • Pro­ducing transport docu­men­tation
  • Fol­lowing up transport pro­jects with regard to dead­lines, costs and “lessons learned”

Your Profile

  • You have suc­cess­fully com­pleted a freight for­warding spe­cialist appren­ti­ceship
  • You have pro­fes­sional expe­rience in the inter­na­tional freight for­warding industry
  • Ideally, you have know­ledge of project management, maritime freight and nuclear tech­nology
  • You are familiar with the management of project ship­ments
  • Your strengths include relia­bility, fle­xi­bility, taking care and a precise method of working
  • Effi­cient com­mu­ni­cation and working in a team are a matter of course for you
  • You have a high wil­lingness to learn as well as initiative and self-moti­vation
  • You have very good know­ledge of spoken and written French and English
  • You are willing to travel on business within Germany as well as to other European and non-European coun­tries
  • Very good com­puter skills (MS Office) round off your profile
